Are you ready for Cross Training? Cross Training starts Wednesday, September 10, 2008 from 6:30-8:00p.m. Pre-register by downloading the CrossTraining PDF and emailing it to Dave at: mcginley-sjl@defnet.com

Another year is coming and there will be some changes to our Cross Training Program. A couple new requests from students to help them with their faith walk and also a senior high group to meet on Wednesday nights also. This is going to be a really awesome year and we look forward to anyone willing to participate. If you are interested in helping teach a class, be a small group guide, or even a junior guide come and talk to Dave. There will be a letter sent home with more information and also registration forms. A nominal fee of $25.00 per child is ask to pay for the curriculum materials. If money is an issue we have scholarships available. If you have any questions please call Dave.

This program of Christian education is intended for all children in the 1st through the 8th grade both enrolled and not enrolled in our Christian Day School. Participation in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades is required as minimum involvement prior to Confirmation, but attendance through all grades is strongly recommended for Christian growth of children.

Classes are held for each grade level on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 during the school year. The Pathlight curriculum from Concordia Publishing House is used for grades 1 - 5, providing Bible-based and Christ-centered materials.

Time is also spent in worship and fellowship activity. Enrollment in these classes should be made at the beginning of the school year. There is a fee of $25.00 for each child, grades 1-8 to cover the cost of books and materials.

A weekly offering gives children the opportunity to practice Christian stewardship and to support various charitable and mission projects.
